Easton Travel Guide
Welcome to Easton, PA!
Easton, one of America's earliest industrial centers, is part of the metropolitan area in eastern Pennsylvania that includes Allentown and Bethlehem. Situated at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh rivers and a number of major railroads, the city enjoyed an industrial prosperity that yielded many fine examples of American architecture and spawned the creation of Lafayette College in 1832. Today, Easton is known as the home of the Crayola Factory, where the crayon-making process can be explored through tours, and visitors can participate in a number of activities. Another interesting attraction is the Easton Museum of Pez Dispensers, which showcases roughly 1,500 pez dispensers ranging in themes from Disney to superhero to psychedelic. For a trip through America's canal heritage, visit the many exhibits at the National Canal Museum or take a boat ride with a costumed crew that give an oral history of regional canals at Hugh Moore Park.
